Harry Potter Book Day

We hope you had a brilliant Harry Potter Book Day!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who took part in Harry Potter Book Day 2023. We are already planning for 2024 - watch this space and make sure to sign up to our newsletter to receive the latest news!

Our free 35-minute virtual lesson presented by Evanna Lynch is still available on Twinkl's website.

Harry Potter Book Day is a chance for fans around the globe to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s iconic series with events, parties and other festivities. The theme for this year was MAGICAL PLACES. From platform nine and three-quarters to Hogsmeade, The Burrow to the Ministry of Magic, there’s a whole wizarding world to explore!

Virtual lesson now available for schools and educators - perfect for children aged 7+!

Bloomsbury have created a virtual headline event hosted by Harry Potter film star Evanna Lynch (who played Luna Lovegood – as if you needed telling), in partnership with Twinkl and Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.

This 35-minute event includes a:

  • Magical Places creative writing session from the Great Hall
  • How To Draw Hogwarts session with Evanna and Harry Potter illustrator Jonny Duddl
  • Spellcasting class from platform nine and three-quarters

It is free for teachers to show during the school day and for parents, carers, or guardians to enjoy with their children after school!

The online event, and supporting resources provided by Twinkl, is now available to give plenty of time to plan.

Watch the trailer above, and access the lesson in full now on Twinkl’s website.
